What can business automation software do?
It handles steps that follow clear rules, so people only deal with exceptions. The most common starting points in Indian businesses are below.
- WhatsApp: order confirmations, payment reminders, appointment alerts and status updates sent automatically from your records.
- GST invoices: creating invoices from an order, numbering them correctly, sending them to the customer and passing entries to your accounting tool.
- Approvals: a purchase, discount or leave request goes to the right person, with reminders and a record of who said yes.
- Reports: a daily sales or stock summary assembled from several sheets and sent to management each morning.
- Data movement: entries from a form or sheet copied into Tally, Zoho or a CRM without retyping.
Invoice rules and filing formats are set by the GST system and your accountant. We build the workflow around what your accountant confirms, and we do not give tax advice.
Should you buy automation software or build it?
| Situation | Better choice |
|---|---|
| Standard need such as payroll, basic accounting or email marketing | Buy a product |
| Simple trigger between two popular apps | A no-code tool is often enough |
| Rules specific to your business, with several roles and approvals | Build |
| Per-task or per-seat fees growing with volume | Build |
| Staff already work around the tool you bought | Build, or fix the setup first |
No-code tools are quick for light jobs. They get fragile when a workflow has many branches, when more people depend on it, or when you want your data and logic in your own account. Low-code versus custom software compares them in more detail.
How much does business automation cost in India?
A typical workflow automation with two roles and one or two integrations such as WhatsApp or email is ₹1.7L–₹2.4L. That sits inside the Build package, ₹1.5L–3.5L. A system with many modules, reports and integrations is Platform, ₹3.5L–8L.
The price moves with the number of roles, integrations, approval steps and reports, and with how clean your existing data is. WhatsApp messages, payment gateway charges and any AI model usage are paid to those providers and are not part of the build price.

How do you decide what to automate first?
- List the tasks your team repeats every day or week.
- Mark the ones that follow a fixed rule and cause errors or delays.
- Pick one with a clear owner and measurable pain, such as invoices sent late.
- Collect real samples: five recent invoices, approvals or reports.
- Automate that one, run it for a month, then add the next.
Starting with one workflow keeps the price down and shows you what works before you commit to more. Our workflow automation guide goes through the typical sequence in detail.
How does Neyven build automation?
Neyven is a human-led, AI-native studio in Ghaziabad. One person writes the scope with you, maps each step and the exceptions, and signs off the release. Agents implement and test the pieces inside DevOS, and a separate review pass checks permissions, failed inputs and business rules before anything reaches you.
You get a clickable prototype of the flow in week one, a live preview as it is built, and the code, accounts and documentation at handover. See how we build, or read the custom software company overview.
Can AI make automation smarter?
Sometimes. AI is useful for reading messy inputs such as a supplier PDF or a customer message, and for drafting replies. It is a poor fit where a plain rule works, since rules are cheaper and predictable. When an agent acts on your systems, we limit its access and keep a person in the approval path. See AI agent development in India.
Frequently asked questions
Can the automation send WhatsApp messages?
Yes, through the WhatsApp Business API or a provider you choose. Message fees go to the provider, and templates need approval from WhatsApp.
Can it create GST invoices?
It can generate invoices in the format your accountant approves and pass entries to Tally or Zoho. Tax treatment is for your accountant to confirm.
What if our process changes later?
Rules are kept in clear configuration where possible, and the code is documented, so changes are small follow-up work.
Do we pay per task or per user?
Not to Neyven. You pay for the build once, plus hosting and third-party fees to those providers.
