MVP development cost in India in 2026

A focused web MVP with Neyven typically costs ₹2L–₹3.5L (a Build package, ₹1.5L–3.5L) and takes 3–4 weeks. A very small one can start at the ₹1.5L floor of Build. Published agency ranges are higher, around ₹3–5 lakh for a tightly scoped MVP and ₹4–12 lakh for a simple one. The difference is how small the first version is.

What does an MVP cost in India?

The honest answer is a range, because an MVP can be one screen or ten. Neyven's own bands for a web MVP are below. They assume a business-style product, such as a booking tool, a marketplace back-office or a SaaS dashboard, not a consumer social app.

Neyven MVP price bands (INR). Same bands as the estimator.

How does that compare with other Indian agencies?

Other published figures are higher. Ecorpit's guide lists a simple MVP at ₹4–12 lakh. Zartek lists ₹3–5 lakh for a tightly scoped MVP. Both are linked below.

Why the gap? We cannot see inside other agencies' scopes. Ours assume a web app, a narrow first version, one accountable person and agent-assisted delivery. Compare what each number includes. If you need an iOS and Android app in the stores, expect a larger number from anyone.

Quotes far below the market can signal junior teams, as Unicoconnect warns. Ask any agency who is responsible, what the scope covers and who owns the code.

What belongs in an MVP and what should wait?

An MVP tests one claim: that someone will use or pay for this. Anything that does not test that claim can wait.

Can a no-code or vibe-coded MVP be enough?

For early validation, often yes. Tools like Lovable, Bolt and Airtable can get a demo in front of users in days at almost no cost. Use them if the goal is to learn. The trouble starts when real users and real data arrive, and the demo has no proper permissions, tests or structure.

If that happens, a short audit tells you whether to patch or rebuild: see how to fix a vibe-coded app. If you are choosing now, low-code versus custom software compares the options.

How does Neyven build an MVP?

  1. A call and a written scope with a fixed price in the first three days.
  2. A clickable prototype in week one. You test it with a few real users.
  3. Build previews every few days on a live link.
  4. Acceptance with real data in the final week.
  5. Handover of code, docs and access. You own everything.

The full process is on how we build. We state what is not included in the scope, so a cheap number does not hide extra charges.

What costs come after the MVP?

Hosting, third-party fees and fixes. A common rule of thumb for upkeep is 15–20% of build cost per year, per Mind Studios. Plan some budget to change the product after real users give feedback; that is the point of an MVP.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get an MVP for under ₹1.5L?

Not as a new build. Build packages start at ₹1.5L. If you already have a prototype made with Lovable, Bolt or similar, a Rescue (₹75k–1.5L) can turn it into something you can launch.

How long does an MVP take?

3–4 weeks for a Build-sized MVP, 5–8 weeks for a first release of a larger platform.

Will I own the code?

Yes. Source code, deployment and accounts are yours.

Do you take equity instead of fees?

No. Projects are fixed-price and paid in milestones.

Do I need a technical co-founder after the MVP?

Not necessarily. The code is documented so a future hire or another agency can continue, and we offer support if you want it.

What if I want to change the scope midway?

Changes are priced and agreed before they are built. Nothing is added to the bill silently.
